Discover the essence of Yucatán through “Esencias del Mayab,” an exclusive experiences for guests of the Santa Rosa de Lima Hacienda Hotel in Maxcanu, a journey that combines history, nature, gastronomy, and living Maya culture along the trails of Camino del Mayab, one of Mexico’s three nationally prioritized community tourism destinations and a remarkable long-distance trail connecting local communities and natural landscapes.
This experience includes a visit to a historic hacienda-museum, swimming in crystal-clear cenotes, a traditional local lunch, and time to relax before continuing with an immersive cultural activity. Guests can choose between a 2 km interpretive walk, ideal for families and a relaxed pace, or a 6 km hiking route for a deeper connection with the surrounding nature.
The journey concludes with “Creatures of the Mayab,” a mystical and family-friendly experience where the legends and characters of Yucatán’s oral tradition come to life through an immersive walk that invites visitors to connect with the culture, imagination, and spirit of the region.
